How do I locate practitioners who have trained with IAHE?
The International Association of Healthcare Practitioners (IAHP), www.iahp.com, is a useful resource for those seeking trained healthcare practitioners. The IAHP lists information such as name, professional titles, city, state, email, province and phone numbers as well as courses taken.
Please note, due to Florida liability laws, we cannot personally give out referrals or practitioner names. Click here to search our practitioner listing to find a practitioner near you.
Can I attend your courses if I am not a licensed healthcare professional?
The majority of our courses are taught as continuing education modalities for people who are licensed healthcare professionals or certified to perform manual therapy. We are pleased to offer specific classes for the layperson and those non-licensed healthcare professionals called ShareCare.
How do I find out if I am covered under my license to do (CST, VM, NM, etc) and who do I contact?
Qualifications to practice bodywork vary greatly based on state/province. Ability to practice specific modalities may also vary based on profession. Some states and provinces do not require a specific license to be held in order to practice. Industry regulations are known to change frequently. Please contact your state or provincial licensing board for specifics.
What is considered a full-time student for your discounted student tuition?
To receive the student discount (available in most cases for the entry-level class of each modality), you must be enrolled in a full-time educational program designed to lead to licensure or certification as a manual therapist. Massage Therapy programs must be a minimum of 500 hours.
Are Continuing Education Units (CEUs) available for your courses?
Yes, we work with many state and national boards throughout North America to provide CEUs for practitioners. Current CEU status is typically posted here. Before attending a workshop, simply verify CEU acceptance with your professional board.
If the course you would like to attend is not currently approved with your professional board, please feel free to contact our CEU Coordinator at 1-800-233-5880 ext #2 to see about obtaining approval.
I need a new certification/CEU letter or I need transcripts.
To obtain a replacement copy of your class certificate (for display) or CEU letter (for submission to licensing board), please contact 800-233-5880 ext #2. Replacements are $5.00 per set (certificate and CEU letter).
If I have to cancel a class, can I get a refund?
Our preference is to have all students attend their class as planned. Plans changing within 29 days of a class start date cause significant and costly implications for our operations to support your planned attendance.
In most cases:
Transfer to a new class date: No fee up until 29 days prior to the class start date.
Transfer to another class 29-15 days in advance: $100 logistics and planning fee.
Transfer to another class less than 15 days of class start date: $200 logistics and planning fee.
Tuition less the applicable logistics fee is non-refundable.
Cancellation of class: Fully refundable more than 29 days prior to the class start date. Cancellations or no shows within 29 days of the class are nonrefundable and are subject to applicable logistics and transfer fees based upon the date of class cancellation or transfer notification received by our home office. Refundable tuition for students in a package program (core-pak or trak-pak) is based on the early registration pricing for the course/online video involved. Refund requests must be made in writing (email to refunds@iahe.com) within 12 months of the registration.
Email requests to iahe@iahe.com with Attention: Refunds in the subject line; fax to 561-622-4771 Attention: Refunds; or mail to IAHE, Attention: Refunds, 11211 Prosperity Farms Road, D325, Palm Beach Gardens, FL 33410. The policy may vary for classes held in Big Sur, California, classes that are privately sponsored, and courses that are specialized or limited in the number of participants. See specific class for cancellation policy.
Refunds are made in the manner of original payment. See individual classes or call 561-622-4334 or 1-800-233-5880 ext #2 for specifics.
Do you offer scholarships?

How many days are your seminars and what hours do they run?
The courses are generally three, four and five days long and usually run from 9am-5pm each day, ending at about 3:30 pm on the last day of class. There are occasionally exceptions to this, so please check with Educational Services at 1-800-233-5880 ext #2 or 561-622-4334 if you have any questions or concerns.
Do I have to come to Florida to attend your school?
For your convenience, we offer our courses throughout the world. Click here to find a course near you.
How far ahead of time do I need to register for a class?
Many courses fill up well in advance of the start date. We recommend that you register as early as possible to ensure your space in a class. Early registration discounts are available on certain classes as well. Click here to find a course near you.
Do the course developers teach the classes?
In some cases yes, though in most cases they do not. Each class was designed by its modality developer, who maintains a rigorous teacher-certification program to ensure the material and presentation is consistent and of the highest quality. All of our instructors have gone through these extensive apprenticeship programs before being certified to teach.

Do these PDFs require a special reader?
Yes. Our eBooks require the free Javelin Reader. Javelin Reader has robust highlighting and note-taking features. It also offers bookmarking (IOS and Android devices currently) and search functions, in addition to clickable shortcuts that allow lightning-fast access to all the content in the print edition. Javelin is a free download. Our ebooks are not compatible with Adobe Reader.
Are your eBooks readable on all devices? And how many?
With a few minor exceptions, yes! Our Javelin eBooks are compatible with Windows and Mac OSX, and on phones and tablets that run iOS or Android. They can also be read on Kindle Fire tablets in most cases, but not Kindle Reader. See a full list of compatible devices.
Phones noted above are compatible, but not recommended, as most people find reading books on a small screen is not effective.
Your activation code allows you to access the eBook from your computer and one of your mobile devices.
How do I receive my eBook?
You will receive an email with instructions and "Product Activation Code" that enables the eBook.
Your activation code allows you to access the eBook from your computer and one of your mobile devices.
How does the Product Activation Code work?
As a security measure, Javelin Reader asks for a 9 digit activation code the first time you open your eBook on your devices. Your activation code enables you to download the eBook to your computer and one of your mobile devices. Please keep your activation code safe.
Once you have opened your eBook with the activation code on your computer and your mobile device, you do not need the code again.
Important: Your eBook is non-returnable and non-refundable once you have used your activation code. Your eBook is also non-returnable and non-refundable 7 day after the activation code email has been sent to you, even if the code has not be activated.
What permissions and limits come with my eBook?
Your eBook offers unlimited viewing on your computer and one of your mobile devices for up to seven years from your date of purchase. That expiration date may be extended depending on digital product availability at that time. For security purposes and copyright protection for the author, printing is not allowed.
What if I need more than my two devices?
While access to your secure eBook is initially set to your computer and one of your mobile devices, should you replace one of your devices with a new one in the future, as a registered user you may contact us at that time to add your new device (iahe@iahe.com). A small fee will be charged for this purpose.

Are the eBooks compatible to provide text-to-speech?
Yes! For users with partial visual impairment, severe dyslexia, and a range of other constraints on reading, facilities exist in the Javelin3 PDF readers to provide text to speech. The recommended approach is to select a block of text in the document or a page and select the text-to-speech key sequence or pop-up option for that section of text or page to be read aloud. Selected text (where available) is best. Otherwise the facility will try and read the entire page or book from start to finish, and generally this does not work well with many PDFs because of their complex structure. All Javelin3 readers support this functionality (macOS, Windows, Android), although Javelin for iOS/iPadOS does not (at present).
On Windows computers this facility is provided in Javelin3 via a right-click operation and selection from the drop-down menu (read selected text or read page). On Mac computers the Javelin3 reader supports the Mac read-aloud facilities. On Android devices, touch the page to see the toolbar and choose the three dots icon to select the Read Current Page option from the pop-up menu.
Do the eBooks have highlighting and bookmarking capabilities?
Yes! There are many exciting features for highlighting, adding notes, marking pages, etc. to maximize the use of your eBooks.
